Hi! I'm Jenny VanBuskirk.
I founded Creatively Virtual, a virtual assistance and project management company, in the summer of 2014. Since then, I’ve worked with coaches, creatives, service-based business owners, non-profits, and brick-and-mortar small businesses. I’ve supported my clients in 5- and 6-figure launches, creating social media content and strategy, managing calendars and inboxes, walking their clients through a stellar customer service experience, and so much more.
Today, I’m supporting my clients, teaching future Virtual Assistants, and working with women who have dreams of starting businesses, creating movements, and changing their lives. My mentoring programs help women take action to create whatever it is they want to build in their lives, all while creating a balance with their home lives and raising their kids.
Most Importantly, I'm a Wife and a Mom.
I met the love of my life in high school - he transferred to my school and ended up sitting just behind me in my 4th hour French class. We've been together for 17+ years, and he's my best friend, my partner as we work towards our big goals together, and my favorite person on the planet. We are ridiculously annoying with our constant hugs, laughter, jokes, and love! (At least that's what our kids say!)
Speaking of our kids... we have FIVE. Yes, you read that right! Ages 4 to 14, four girls and one boy. Is our house loud? Yes. Do we have a ton of laundry? Absolutely. Does it feel like utter chaos? I've been known to send the hubby a "HURRY HOME" text a time or two. But the truth is, it's AMAZING. The amount of joy and love in our house is overwhelming sometimes. Parenting can definitely be challenging and I often feel like I'm letting them down, but they are the best and I'd have a dozen more in a heartbeat (don't tell my husband I said that!).
Creative. Driven. Passionate.
When I was a kid, I had one goal - to make a difference helping people. The details changed as I grew up - I thought I'd be a lawyer, a journalist, and even started college as a pre-med student. No matter how my plans changed or shifted as life went along, at the core of my work was always my passion to help people. I've used my creativity and experience in the corporate world to create a business that has grown every single year (including doubling revenue from 2018 to 2019). I did all of that while taking care of a house, making time for my relationship with my husband, raising 5 kids (I started my business with just 4 kids - so I know how to do it through pregnancy, too!), volunteering at their schools and in our community, and living with my own autoimmune disease.
I've taken client calls while nursing a baby, answered emails from a crowded waiting room, stayed up late finishing a project, woke up early to get some quiet time to myself... I've been there. I get it. I know the struggles of trying so hard to be a great mom and also trying to fulfill the dreams within your heart.
If I can do it, so can you.
